Angeliki's Messy Middle Update
Recovering from a full week in London
Last week had a bit of everything. I attended CreatorFest in London (aka largest creators festival) which meant finally meeting people IRL that I usually only DM on LinkedIn or chat virtually. Nice to put faces to the people that inspire me. And THIS is the magic of real life events and the platform called LinkedIn if you ask me, optimising for true connections.
After two full days of 9am-9pm at the event, I went straight into back-to-back new recordings for the podcast. One topic is Personal Finance 101 (I know you’ve been asking about it A LOT) and the other on how to build a Portfolio Career to increase your income streams while at a full-time job. (YES, I basically worked to get you more money haha). Both will be launching in September.
A new episode also landed last Friday, all about productivity for wellbeing. Or in other words how to manage your to-do list and your boss upwards to prevent burnout. More details below. But that meant Friday spent on socials in between IRL meetings and also meant a tech mistake slipped through and I only today realised the Spotify episode hadn’t gone live…
And then, out of nowhere, a call with a Google recruiter for a maternity cover, followed by an actual interview today. Wasn't expecting that one. Still sitting with what I make of it.
Communication & Personal Branding Tip of the Week
What to write about on LinkedIn
This came straight as a response when I asked you for feedback in my last newsletter edition. (You know who you are, thank you!)
The simplest rule to remember is that you don’t need to produce something long and perfect, what we call a thought leadership piece. Rather a simple reflection is more than enough. LinkedIn is a business-first platform, yes, but don’t forget that is a short form consumption platform.

Me at the CreatorFest last week. See my LinkedIn post for a simple reflection example straight off the event. It didn’t need a whole event learnings breakdown.
So, I thought I’d share some simple topic ideas to get you started, in case you’re overthinking it:
Something that shifted your thinking
A podcast, book, or article from this week. What changed?
An AI workflow that saved you time
Show the actual thing. Practical beats polished every time.
Your take on the news in your industry
A hot topic + your actual opinion = instant engagement.
A meeting that worked or didn't at work and why
The real ones, especially the ones with friction. That's where the insight lives. Even if it's not the "what" of the meeting but the "how".
Your experience on soft skills nobody teaches
Structuring a decision, speaking up, presenting under pressure. Yours to share.
Why you chose your career path
Origin stories never get old. Or what reminded you that you love your work this week.
Podcast Guest of the Week
Meet Kate Sotsenko – Productivity for Wellbeing Coach

Kate Sotsenko and Angeliki (me, hi)
Meet Kate Sotsenko, Founder of TheGoodBusy.com (check it out).
Her own path went from professional athlete to corporate to building her own thing, and the episode digs into the difference between being productively ambitious and destructively ambitious. How to manage your to-do list better, how to manage your boss upwards and many more to protect your mental peace.
“I was at a busy street and everything went dark. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with overwork. And I was wondering, how did I get there? I love working, but how can I continue like this?”

Growth Is Lonely
But that’s not a sign something is wrong. It might actually be the opposite.
You'll often outgrow a circle before you've reached the new one. That gap, when your old world no longer fits and your new one isn't formed yet, is a normal part of expanding. It's not a sign that something has gone wrong. It's a sign that you're moving.
"Growth is lonely. You outgrow a circle before you've reached the new one. That's a sign of evolution, not failure." — Bianca Errigo, EP. 07.
That’s it for this week.
OK, question: would you like the episode download in writing like a summary? Reply with a yes or no and lmk.
I know some people prefer reading over watching…
Stay adaptive, stay curious. And thank you for lending me your reading time.
